YUMMY! I recently made these amazing truffles and wanted to share with you all. I loved them and am actually going to use this recipe to make cake pops instead of the traditional cake pop recipe (baking a cake, crumbling and mixing with frosting). I really do not like the taste of regular cake pops.
So this recipe is super simple. I actually started by following the recipe posted by Food Fanatic (http://www.foodfanatic.com/recipes/cookie-dough-truffle-recipe/) and made a few tweaks. Below recipe includes my tweaks.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces light cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
candy coating:
Ingredients:
Directions:
Beat butter and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes
until creamy. Beat in sugar, flour, salt and vanilla until completely
combined. Fold in sprinkles.
Scoop about a tablespoon and roll into a ball and place on a parchment paper lined freezer safe cookie sheet. Freeze truffles for about 2 hours.
Using a toothpick, dip frozen truffle into melted vanilla coating. Tap
on side of bowl to remove excess.
Immediately add sprinkles for
garnish.
